Brief Description:  Stiffened pitot tube mounting point

When I clecoed the pitot mount in place to the bottom of the left wing, I found that when I pushed backwards on it (as a 200 mph airstream would do) the skin flexed enough for the pitot to move more than what I think is acceptable. The front of the mounting plate will rivet to the main spar, but the rear will be riveted only to the skin about 3" behind the spar, which is where the flexing occurred. So, taking a lesson from the elevator and rudder skins and the tank bottom skins, I got some scrap aluminum angle from my buddy Steve and made a stiffener for the wing bottom skin. After cutting, drilling, deburring, and dimpling the stiffener and skin, I back riveted the stiffener to the skin. Worked well, you have to push back pretty hard on the pitot mount to get any movement at all.
