Brief Description: More riveting on left flap
|

Tonight I continued riveting on the left flap, and got it all riveted except the spar. I got the spar clecoed in place, then gave it up for the night. The plans say the flaps are the easiest control surfaces to build, I would quibble with that. They may be the simplest appearing final structure, but working inside that flap, trying to hold and maneuver the bucking bar, is a royal pain, I found it very difficult, and also made a few dings since you can only use one hand for the gun.

The reinforcing plate at the inboard end of the left flap.

Left flap complete except the spanwise spar rivets at the top & bottom.

|
A big fat ding, on the top of the flap, too, where it can be seen.
