Brief Description:  Continued work on flaps

Today I took a nap after church, due to working on the flaps so late last night. After that, I got back into the project, installing the top skin on the left flap, then completely match drilling both flap assemblies. Then I disassembled the left flap only, in order to keep from mixing up the parts, and began the tedious process of deburring and dimpling all the holes. Turned out I had drilled the interior ribs on both flaps to no. 40, and they are supposed to be #30, so I drilled the left ones out to the proper size; hope I remember to do the right one when the time comes. The plans are bad about giving the drill size in the instructions, when it says drill a hole, you have to then look at the plans to see the rivet size, and drill the hole accordingly. It would be easier if it stated the drill size in the instructions.
I then primed some of the parts to be reassembled, but cannot start reassembly yet because one of the pop riveter dimple dies that I was using to dimple a hole in the small end of one of the ribs was lost when the mandrel (a finishing nail) broke and both pieces went flying. I found one about 10 feet behind where I was standing, but can't find the other. Guess I will have to order another set. The rib at the last hole is too narrow to even use the pull type die, so had to countersink it instead. The material is so thin, the countersink goes all the way through, so will have to use an "oops" rivet in there.

It's late, going to give it up for tonight.
