Brief Description:  Continued on the ailerons

Today I slipped over from my desk a few minutes at a time to the worktable and worked a little bit on the ailerons. I dimpled the skins, the ones I could reach with the squeezer I dimpled with the squeezer, set up the C-frame and hammered the rest. I set the skins up to back rivet, and that went pretty quickly. Turns out the rivets in the hammered dimples had a little better look and feel than the squeezed ones, seems the shoulder of the dimple was a little sharper.
This evening after finishing work, I started up again. After setting up the right skin in the bending brake, and bending it part way, I noticed that the rivets in the left two stiffeners had not been driven. Apparently I had gotten distracted before driving the last two rows. I was able to back rivet the first few in each row, but could not spread the skin enough to get the gun to the last 3, so drove them from the skin side with a bar on the inside. I It was getting late, and the Queen sent instructions down the stairs to terminate that operation until tomorrow, so I did. I will have to drive the last couple tomorrow.

I went ahead and bent the left skin until it fit up to the spar, then match drilled the spar reinforcing plates that go at each end to carry the hinges, end rib and nose rib. Then drilled the steel bracket at each end for No. 10 bolts.
