Brief Description: Finished the cutout on the left wing
Continuation of November 6 work.
After a lot of filing, sanding, and scotchbright work, the corners came out passable, but is not a true circular radius. Bugs me, but not enought to build the leading edge again.
After finishing the cutout, I drilled the adjacent rib webs for the #10 nutplates that will support the light mounting bracket, then match drilled the aluminum strips that will hold the lens in place to the wing skins. Called it a night then.
The troublesome corner filed to approximate shape.
Finished up the hole. Doesn't look too bad, but doesn't look too good either.
The backing plate for the plexiglass lens, match drilled to the leading edge.
