Today I was determined to finish the longerons so I can start some assembly on the fuselage. I took them upstairs to the garage (not an easy trick with two 15' lengths of 3/4" aluminum angle) to cut them off to the proper length on the bandsaw, then brought them back to the basement office/airplane factory to finish them. I bent the right longeron down 2 3/4" per the plan, then twisted it 17 degrees inboard per the plans. Then got started on the left longeron, bent the cockpit curve with the dies I had ordered online, bent the downslope front end, and twisted the portion forward of the cockpit 17 degrees inboard to mirrror the right longeron. It all came out pretty well.
The right longeron bent down 2-3/4" at the front end
The top of the angle in the vise is sloped 1 degree, so the twist in the longeron is 16.9 degrees.
Both longerons curved, bent, and twisted. On to more fuselage assembly work.
