Figure 1 shows the small device I made to make sure the holes are perpendicular to the surface they are drilled. It is turned from 2379 tool steel and hardened to 50 HRC. Practical to use, you can drill almost perfect holes.
With Gursel, we carefully checked every part we prepared and epoxied the top diagonals and guessets.The only part missing is the pilot instrument panel bottom plywood and front cross member. The cabane attachment plates have holes in the middle to let the cross member to be epoxied directly to fuselage top spars. This will be handled next.
