Brief Description: Thieves tried to steal the engine
Thieves tried to steal the engine.
This two guys escaped from jail and broke into the Lycoming factory and tried to steal my engine. Fortunately Lycoming security cought them at the loading dock. One of them claims to have kept an AN4 bolt as a souvenir.
They escaped a couple of days later, and are reportedly building an RV14 (which is why they were trying to steal the engine). Once / If they finish it, they are planning to fly it across the Atlantic to a non extraditon county.
If you are building an aircraft, watch out for these two. If you do see them report them to the US department of EAA.
