Brief Description:  Passenger Side Dual Stick Structure

Wow...more bonehead moves today.

Got the paasenger side structure mounted and inserted the dual stick torque tube...WAY TOO TIGHT!!!!

First I noticed the torque tube was hitting one of the rivet heads on the gusset, so I drilled those out on both sides, countersunk the hole and installed flush rivets. Still too tight.

I ended up moving the passenger side structure outboard by about 2MM. I drilled new holes in the 1/8" aluminum angle in between the other holes. I left the regular L angle in place and filed down the edge of the gusset that goes against that angle just a bit. So obviously the holes in the gusset going into the cabin frame were now mis-alligned so I did the same thing and added new holes in between. I'll end up filling the mis-alligned holes with rivets as well as the new holes. Can't final rivet the passenger side structure until I'm sure the torque tube doesn't have to come out for anytghing.

So word of advice...get the passenger side structure together but drill no holes in the cabin frame...fit to to the torque tube and add an AN3 light washer to each side of the torque tube....then mark your holes and drill. Smooth as silk when completed.

Big mistake to not trial fit the torque tube before drilling into the cabin frame. And countersink the two rivets that are adjacent to the torque tube.
