Brief Description: New Bottom Hatch Cross Member/Torque Tube
Worked on this new piece some more. I have to figure out a way to use nutplates or rivnuts on this because, since it spans the bottom hatch it is a big detriment to working in there (it's bad enough as it is) therefore I have to come up with an easy way to remove it when needed. I fabricated a Delrin washer for the part that anchors the torque tube (no Pic) I want the action to be as smooth as possible. I made the washer on the mill, cutting it down to about 1/8" thick. I drilled the two brackets that hold the cross piece, as you can see from the pic, you won't be doing this without a quality angle drill, simply no room otherwise.
