Brief Description: EUREKA MOMENT, Lower Vert Fin Skin
I do my best thinking when I wake up at 3am. It ocurred to me that I had the vertical fin I had built prior to realizing the parts were wrong and Zenith sending me a new one. So....I used the skin from that vert fin to create a new lower skin. I took the lower skin I had and traced its outline on the old vert fin skin. Then I re-clecoed the original lower fin skin back on the plane. I took note of everywhere the gap was and how much of a gap, then I added those measurements to the outline I had traced. I cut it out (on my new outline) and I'll be damned... it fit really well. So then I cleaned up all the edges, riveted in the angles to the top of the fuselage and drilled the thing. It still is not perfect but I'm really happy with the result...I have not seen a better one.
