Brief Description:  Brake Pedals

Drilled heel support side stiffeners..waiting to rivet.

Made the pedal hinges, curved the half that attaches to the rudder pedals in the vice with a 2 lb hammer. Started about 1/4" down (clamping in the vice) from the actual hinge and used a little bit of force w the hammer to start the curve...moved the hinge up in the vice to the rivet line and hammered some more...then ended about 1/4" up from the bottom, clamped in the vice and hammered some more...works pretty well. Zenith says to line the hinges up with the end of the rudder pedal but notice in pic 3 I attached about 1/8' inboard of the edge. I did a dry test after drilling the middle hole in the pedal and attaching the pedal to the hinge with a cleco. I then placed the rudder pedal in its spot in the cabin, and while holding the brake cylinder, seeing where the attachment points of the brake cylinder would line up on the pedal and then adjusted where I attached the hinge accordingly. Did all 4 pedals because I'm installing brakes on both sides.
