Brief Description:  Cabin Floor...Rudder Pedals

So started assembling the cabin floor...no mystery, lots of parts.

Temp mounting of rudder reveals a difference in height from the floor, between the middle plastic bearing to the end bracket of about 1/8"...don't like that. Also don't like that the end bracket is metal on metal.

There should never be metal on metal wear in a rotating situation like this...so easy to add a bushing which can be replaced as it wears.

I ordered a couple of Bushings from McMaster Carr...7/8" OD and 3/4" ID. I'm going to make two new brackets to accomodate the bushings....either that or I'd have to add a 1/8" washer/spacer underneath the existing bracket. Adding a bushing will be relatively easy...so I measured and am ready to make two new brackets on some 1x2 aluminum stock I had. The flange of the bushing is 1 1/8" which actually works perfectly with the height from the cabin floor required. Need to get those bushings to complete.

Will move on to the brake cylinders.
