So I started the outboard flaperons and they go together pretty much exactly like the inboard except that there are two L angles that get installed inside the spar. Well the holes on the bottom L angle (the one with the 90* bend) just don't line up as you can see from the pics. The top L angle is close to not being right but I think it will work. I went ahead and riveted the bottom angle thinking that I would drill the misalligned holes and then add holes between each of the misalligned ones. But the misfit also created a space at the bottom which after thinking about it I would have to fill with another piece of aluminum. After a night to think about it, I think the best solution would just be to drill out the bad part and use a new angle that I would drill all new holes in using the existing holes in the spar as a guide.
This is the second misallignment issue, along with the elevator ribs or skin...not sure which one was actually the offender there.
