Brief Description: Fabricated Stabilator Center Support
Although not required, I fabricated a support for the center of the stabilator, This support along with the 2 blocks that support the rear spar will guarantee that the stabilator is level while drilling, clecoing and riveting. Although the stabilator is very sturdy without a center support, I found that mine was sagging about 1/16" at the center. This was determined by stretching a string along the top of the stabilator. With the supports in place, the aft edge of the rear skins and the stabilator main spar were "spot-on".
