Built the stabilator jig. The Figures Manual calls for 3/32" rods to align the three peices while glueing--I used two 3/32" drill bits instead. When the glue was dry, I used a pair of pliers to pull out the 3/32" bits. No "Vaseline" was necessary to prevent the glue from sticking to the 3/32" bits. Drilled and assembled the jig pieces as specified in Figure 02B-08 and 02B-09. I used 1/4-20 bolts (the manual does not specify the size). If I did it over, I think that I would go down to #10 machine screws. Home Depot did not have a good assortment of lengths for #10 machine screws, but they did have a good selection of 1/4-20 bolts.
