Brief Description:  Primed the Front Spar Parts

Prepared the front spar parts for priming by finishing all edges and deburring all holes. Then washed all parts with detergent and a Scotchbrite pad and allowed to dry.

Sprayed the anti-corrosion primer on the front spar parts.

One thing that I have learned in using the spray gun to apply primer: use a low volume of paint flow and a high volume of air so that the spay gun emits a "mist" of primer. Previously, I had the spray gun set for too much paint and too little air (causes splatters and some running). Now, the mist goes on well. The manufacturer of the primer (Cortec) says that a very light spray is all that is needed (2-3 mils thick)... This has been working well.
