Brief Description:  Attach Skins to Rudder Bending Jig

In this step, the rudder skins are attached to a 1.25" PVC pipe in preparation for bending of the leading edges. First, I drew a straight line down the PVC pipe. To guarantee that this line was straight (and didn't "spiral" around the pipe), I placed the PVC pipe inside of a piece of angle aluminum that was resting on my flat work table. I then used the edge of the aluminum angle as a straight edge to draw a line on the PVC pipe. Then drilled and clecoed the rudder skin to the PVC pipe. With the rudder skin clecoed in place on the PVC pipe, I used filament tape (strapping tape) to hold the edge of the rudder skin tight against the PVC pipe. Filament tape worked great because it does not "stretch" (or tear) under tension.
