Brief Description: Deburred and Cleaned Forward Skins
Deburred, smoothed edges and cleaned forward skins. When I received the skins they were "tarnished" or had some type of oxidation on the inside and outside surfaces. The skins were supplied with a clear (not blue) adhesive protective film but apparently this film wrinkled and let moisture get in? This oxidation would not clean off with MEK and a ScotchBrite pad. I used a "mouse" hand sander and 220 sandpaper to remove the oxidation. Followed this by sanding with a fine ScotchBrite pad to remove the very slight spiral marks left by the orbital sander.
