Brief Description: Aligned HS Jig in Vertical Plane
Back on the project after a 3+ year hiatus!
Placed the Horizontal Stabilizer jig in a "vertical" position so that I could access the top and bottom while drilling and clecoing the forward skins.
Used a level on both ends and shimmed accordingly so that both MDF jig ends were perfectly vertical. This alignment prohibits the stabilizer from "twisting",
Also aligned the jig with the edge of the workbench. This prevents "skew".
Screwed the jig to 2 x 4 blocks and then screwed the 2 x 4 blocks to the workbench. This holds the HS tightly while working.
