Brief Description:  Drilled and Clecoed Left Forward Skin to Ribs

Diilled and clecoed the HS left forward skin to the ribs. The same procedure as used for the right forward skin was followed. See a detailed description in the log entries for 4/2/13 and 4/3/13.

On the left side I had a bit of a problem using my tool to position the forward ribs so I could see the center line of the ribs (drawn on the ribs in a previous step). On one of the "middle" left ribs, positioning it with my tool caused a slight pucker in the skin where I had "pulled" the rib into place using the special tool that I fabricated. When I pulled on the rib to move it, a corner of the leading edge of the rib "slid" across the inside of the skin and made a slight protrusion. I removed the skin completely and used a hammer to remove the slight pucker. When the skin was replaced and clecoed, I could barely see where the pucker was. I think that this rib was "crooked" when I initially placed the forward skin into place over the ribs as I had to move it considerably with my special tool.

When I removed the skin completely it was nice to see that all #40 holes were drilled on the centerlines of the ribs and that the holes were not in any "flutes" on the rib.
