Brief Description: Drilled and Clecoed Trailing Edges of Forward Skin
Used strapping tape the hold the forward skins in place for drilling and clecoing.
A centerline was drawn on teh HS spar (previous step). The forward skins were pulled down over the forward ribs until the centerline that was drawn on the spar was visible through the centers of the pre-drilled holes in the forward skins. Applied strapping tape to hold the skins in place while the trailing edges of the skins were drilled and clecoed (#40) to the spar.
It was amazing to me that the edges of the forward skins aligned so closely to the rear skins when the forward skins were pulled down and over the forward ribs. The edges were spot on. This was good because there was not much "wiggle room" to move the trailing edge of the forward skins the the left or right.
