Brief Description: Auto pilot servo install (44A-02)
Since I had all the floors out and the fuel tank pulled out, I decided to move onto to the auto pilot servos. The first step is to make a couple of pull rods. I cut then close to length with the dremel cut-off saw, and then filed it down to size. Drilling the ends of each rod was a little challenging. I clamped it in the drill press, but I didn’t want to clamp down too hard a crush it or scratch it. So I ended up taping the outside of the rod, then tightening the clamp just enough to keep it from rotating. I used the vice clamp for the threading operation. I have some plastic covers on the jaws that keep it from messing up the outside of the tube.
