Brief Description: Talked to VANS about missing part (10-04)
Ok it's been awhile since I made any entries. I left off where i could locate the bearings for the bulk head assembly, but I found some round flanges that were similar in shape. After I talked to Vans, they quickly figured out that I was shipped the wrong part by mistake. Vans sent off the correct parts then next day and I received them 3 days later. I sent back the wrong parts to Vans. I think they were about $8 each, so every little bit helps to keep kit prices down. Very nice service from Vans. I'm not sure I would have caught this error when I did the original inventory, but on the next kit I will do a better job organizing and keeping track of the paperwork. Also, Vans told me the Tail Cone Fairing (section 12-05 through 2-09) will be part of the finishing kit and is not included in the Empennage kit. The Manual hasn't been modified yet, so I was thinking that I was missing other parts...it's all good.
Ok, back to the build. Bearing assembly went well. The next step (section 10-05 requires setting up the hinge. I'm going to skip this for now since the VS is hanging up on the wall and I don't have any table space. I'll come back to it later.
