The weather is still not nice enough to go flying…actually, today was really nice, but the runway still has snow and ice on it. I could see where some people have used it, but I’m not confident enough to give it a go. I still need to finish up the last 2 test cards, then it will almost be time to change the oil & filter. So, I’ve been stealing tools from the hanger to work on the wheel fairings. Today I finished trimming both fairings and drilled the attachment holes. The brackets fit nicely, so I went ahead and primed & painted them. I’m thinking the wheel fairings will end up painted white, so I painted the brackets white (not that they will be visible, but it should protect them from wet dirt/mud/sand collecting in the fairing. I think the next step is to start trying to fit them to the wheels. No word back from the paint shops yet.
