Brief Description:  Carb Synchronization (PAP - G6)

With the help of Cyndi (my wife) at the controls and some very detailed directions, we were able to synch the carbs. I did the warm up myself, then shut it down, tied it to the plane to the car, placed the wheel chucks and gave her some detailed instructions. I used the headset so we could talk to each other through the canopy. The hard part was getting the Carbmate hooked up….some of the hoses are really stiff. Then making the adjustments was very sensitive. I would get it fine-tuned, but then it would go out when I tried to tighten the nuts. Anyway, it’s done and I didn’t walk into the prop and I still have all my fingers and toes. I also got the plane over to the maintenance shop to get the transponder checked out and signed off. Next it was time to fly…except Ohio winters are not good for flying. It has been either too windy, too much cross wind, ceilings too low, raining, or on the last try it was freezing rain. Is it too much to ask for calm, sunny day? I’ll keep an eye on the weather and try again this week.
