Brief Description:  Rear Window install (25-06)

I’ve been going through the PAP in preparation to make the first engine start. I completed the fuel system check and met the fuel flow rate (60 sec for 1 gallon). I’m still using the original fuel pump that came with the kit. Now I think I’m ready to start the engine for the first time, but I want to pretty it up a little and get the rear window and canopy finished. First step was to clecoe in the rear window and mask all the edges. I’ll probably come back and add some more masking to the interior in case of drips, spills or smudges. I also painted the lower portion of the window inside, so it wouldn’t show my messy pro-seal job through the plexi-glass. I’ve see this done before and I liked the look, but we’ll see how it turns out in the end. While the paint was drying, I went ahead and peeled off the masking for the canopy. It’s been over a year since I did the fiberglass and I noticed a few spots where the fiberglass got over top of the tape. I’m not sure how I’m going to get that out from underneath. Of course the tape is bright yellow and the fiberglass is black so it really stands out on the inside of the canopy. I think I will be asking a lot of the painters.
