Again, I thought this should be easy enough now with all the wire complete. Just rivet in the ELT tray (no problem) and slide the unit in pace and clamp it down. For some reason it’s not fitting very well and I can’t get the clamps to catch the hooks. It looks like there’s some interference with the back side of the rivets for the ELT bracket. No problem, I’ll just squeeze them down a little more. We’ll this isn’t so easy with the ELT tray in place. I messed up the lower rivet because the squeezer slipped off and crimped the rivet head right in the center. I didn’t like that, but it would probably have been fine…just really ugly. Any way I wasn’t able to get the drill to find the center, so I ended up just grinding down the head and tail of the rivet until I could pop it out. Next try I made sure it was in the right spot and set the rivet, but there is still too much interference to get the ELT to slide all the way into the tray. I opted to cut some small notches in the case of the ELT to provide enough room to get it in place. Next I only had to wrap up all the wires as directed and since down the zip ties…done. Still I think there has to be a better way.
