Brief Description: Attach Cooler box and door (49-04)
Well I’m back in the garage after many days away skiing in Colorado with the family over the Christmas break. It was actually much warmer in the Colorado Mountains, than in Ohio, but it was nice to get away. I prepped the box with some high temp paint and assembled the box and door. I failed to pay attention as to what holes got the steel rivets (it was just supposed to be the door hinge), but I used the steel rivets (MSP-42) for the whole vertical piece attachment (FF-1204A). I don't think it’s a big deal since it will be even stronger, just means that I may run out of those rivets later on. I used LP4-3 everywhere else as directed. Next step is to apply RTV to seal the door to the firewall. I've read that wax paper works better than wax for keeping it from sticking to the firewall, so I think I will try that.
