Attaching the oil tank was fairly straight forward, once I figured out all the correct hoses to use. I wasn’t sure the orientation of the tank except from the picture, so I went with that. I heated up the hose a little to give it more of a curve downward to keep it clear of the carb air filter (to be installed later). The most difficult task here was to install a clamp on to the gascolator clamp. With the hose in place and the engine installed and the already limited room to rotate a wrench, it was a real bear. I’m sure there is some special $50 wrench that would work perfectly for this situation, but I didn’t have one, so I figure out a way with what I had. Lots of very small movements and interesting angles to get the bolt torqued in place. I hope to not have to mess with this aver again. It sure would have been easier to install that clamp when the gascolator went on (hmmm).
(Added a note in log for section 28-05 to add clamp when installing gascolator)
