Brief Description:  Countersink all the cowling holes (38-06)

I started drilling the countersink for each hole, just using the countersink cutter on the end of my electric screw driver. Then I would place a rivet in and then figure out if it was the right depth. If not, then I would take it out and cut a little deeper. Once I got to the right depth, where the rivet was flush or just a little proud, then it was really difficult to get it back out to try on the next hole. After doing this several time on several holes I was losing clecoe clamps to hold everything together. So I came up with a way to more easily remove my test fit rivet. I sacrificed a rivet and drilled a small hole in the head, and then I could take that same small drill bit and use the non-fluted end to stick into the hole and remove the rivet. It seemed to work pretty well. Now it’s just a time consuming effort to countersink all these holes.
