Brief Description: Prep cowling for install (38-02)
Well I was working on the spinner install, but since I have the gray opaque spinner, then I need to use the magnet technique (section 5.18) to determine the hole locations for drilling. If it was supposed to come with the kit, then I don’t know where I put them, so I had to order some spherical magnets from Vans. $1.25 and probably $15.00 shipping. While I wait for that, I thought I would work on the cowling (section 36). The first step is to remove some of the edges. I spent some time using a sharpie to mark all the scribe lines. I then used the dremmel to cut off all the excess material but left from 1/8”-1/4” outside the scribe lines. For the holes and the slots I came back with the sander drum on the dremmel to smooth it out to the scribe lines, followed by some hand sanding. Well of course I had to see how it looks…and it looks nice, or it will when it’s finally done.
