Ok first thing the instruction do is to have you mark the end of the tube with tape and thread into the pitot block. Make sure to pay attention to the threads inside the block. One side is threaded and the other has some relief for the unthreaded portion of the tube that goes into the block. This difference isn’t mentioned until later in the installation (too late at that point). Don’t ask me how I know. After that it’s just a matter of doing the initial drill to make the location as directed using the washers. Next you have to final size the dimple and go deep, but not too deep. For me it worked best to shine a flash light in from the opposite side and keep an eye on the inner wall. This is easier with 2 people. I went as far as I felt comfortable and then asked my son (Scott) to watch the inside wall for a slight dimple forming. And he said like the one I see…hmmmm, looks like I had stopped at just the right time. Done.
