Brief Description:  Re-attach carbs (46-07)

I cut down my little homemade dampers, but ended up cutting too much off. So I mixed up some more fuel tank sealant, then I installed the carbs and filled the gap between the top of my damper and the bottom of the carb body. It works best to let the sealant set up for a couple of hours so it's not so runny. So what would I have done differently (next time): I would make my damper cylinders larger diameter...maybe find some small PVC tubing to use as a mold. Also I would mark on the edges of the tray where the center of the carb bottom is, so I can see it after I apply sealant. I marked the spot on the tray, but the sealant spread out and covered my marks, so they aren't centered the way I would have liked. Overall it worked out well. I can't imagine trying to dollop a pile of sealant to bridge that entire gap.
