Brief Description:  Canopy trim work (34-15)

I added some more resin/micro balloon mixture to the fiberglass and sanded it down. I've been re-applying an extra payer of the border tape prior to any resin addition, then peel it off before it completely sets, that way I keep a crisp edge. After looking at some of the pivot transition areas at Oshkosh I want to build up the pivot point some more to make it look a little more finished. I mixed up some flox and resin with a little black dye. It seems to work, but I just need to keep working at it. It's still not as smooth as I would like. I hope to also thin down the bottom sides skirt area so it will open and close without catching.

I ordered another set of spring struts...the current ones I have make an annoying noise when I raise and lower the canopy. I'm hoping this will fix it. I'll install them after I get the canopy looking good or at least better. The engine will be her in a week, so I better get done playing with the canopy.
