I sanded the contact areas then cleaned it in prep for the epoxy resin attach of the foam blocks. The directions call out to mix in some flox until itis pretty stiff, which I did, but trying to apply that to the foam blocks was nearly impossible. So I mixed up some more straight resin (2 squirts each) and mixed that with my first batch. This time is more like fresh caulk consistency and lot wetter, so it went down well on the foam. Lesson learned is to only apply it where it will contact the metal. I ended up with some on the back side and bottom and when you go to sand it down the resin is really hard to sand, but the foam is easy, so it's hard to keep a smooth contour shape.
