Today I installed the canopy latch. I did have to pinch the end of the tube slightly to get it to clamp around the latch and keep it from rotating too easily. I also used some Loctite for the handle screw to keep it in place. I was afraid it would vibrate out. I also installed the nylon stop block. The most challenging part was creating the countersink for the #8 screws. One of the pre-drilled holed is really close to the stop and it was difficult to create the countersink. I ended up using a knife to cut a little groove in the stop, so I could fit a 5/16 drill bit and twist by hand to cut my own countersink. It took a little bit of trimming with the knife to get it to work.
