Brief Description:  Attach rudder cables (32-12)

After disconnecting all the clamps and temp bolts I proceeded to drill the holes that I just marked. Based on my past experience with drilling steel I made sure to clamp the work in my vice, but not smart enough to think I could drill it with the hand drill. The #30 drill hole was easy, but the #12 grabbed the ling and would let go. I ended up re clamping it in the drill press and final sizing it...which is where I did the second set of links. I also cautiously ramped up the drill size until I got to #12. This worked fine. Second I needed to trim the extra material and add a radius to the end. My next idea worked fairly good. I put a bolt through the new holes in the link (one at a time) and into a block of wood so that the link would pivot around the new holes. I previously marked them using the already rounded end as a guide. Next I used my dremel with a cut-off wheel and held it at the edge of the line with the axis of the dremel lined up with the bolt center. While holding the dremel in one place and rotating the link, I was able to get a fairly smooth radius. All was needed was a little bit of file work to smooth out the edge. I added a nail in the board as well to limit the amount that the link could rotate around, so it would get kicked around and contact teh cut-off wheel on the inside section of the link. A lot of words to say I trimmed off the excess and rounded the edge.
Anyway, next was to attach the cable. I decided that it would be easier to attach the fwd ends while I had a lot of slack, so I changed up the order from the instructions. The only way to do this is to just crawl in. Make sure to get all the tools needed and take a good look at the manual picture to see the order/location of washers...this way you don't have to get in and out more than once (this time). Nice thing is you don't have to tighten anything with wrenches, annoying thing is you need to smear a little grease on the bolt. Nice thing is the grease hold the washers in place while you assemble all the pieces,
