Brief Description: Install right gear spar (35-03)
I installed the right landing gear spar with the help of Benjamin. He helped me line up the bolts and holes and helped hold the nuts/bolts, while I worked underneath the plane to attach all the hardware. It took several attempts to get everything lined up and several of the holes didn't quite line up.
Reading up on the challenges of installing the gear from other builders, I noticed several people had to remove some rivets, but the U-1202C & U-1202D came with notches already cut for the rivets. I did have to add a large round edge to the corners of the notches to keep them from interfering with the rivets. I also ended up moving the wire conduit so I could more easily get to the nuts for the outboard bracket.
I would have liked to paint the inboard blocks to match everything, but I'll wait until I have more things to paint since it's such a big production to set everything up. For now everything is torqued.
