Brief Description: Sealed up all the opening and rivets (29A-06)
After installing the canopy ribs it says to seal up the gap with fuel tank sealant. Well, based on my drippy experience on the engine side of the firewall I decided to wait a couple hours before applying the sealant mixture so it would be a little stiffer. Even after a couple hours, it still ran like pooled up like pancake batter. I waited some more and still pancake batter. I ended up a adding some clear packing tape the outside to act as a dam to keep it from pouring out. This seems to have worked, but I should have done both the inside and outside. If I was just starting, knowing what I know now, I would seal both sides with the tape and allow an opening at the top to pour in the sealant, and then let it set-up before removing the tape. Anyway it looks like it sealed the hole and no one will be looking at the inside of my instrumentation area to see the little mess I made.
