Brief Description:  Final color coat for interior paint

Note: these last few logs were documented over several days, but actually took place all on the same day (primer & paint).

So for the most part I’m happy with how it came out. I love the color, but due to gun size and all the attachments (dial regulator, and reservoir and hose); it makes it hard to get in close to lay down the pain smooth. So there are a few areas that feel rough to the touch. I think I will sand and paint again…maybe with a mini gun…been looking at the Devilbiss SRI pro. I still need to pain the seat backs, tunnel covers and fuel tank. So far I’ve used up most of the original quart. Maybe that means I’m putting it on too think or just wasting a lot. This is definitely a learning experience.

I'm out for the next couple weeks for work, so I’ll see what it looks like when I get back. The paint booth worked pretty good, except when I was spraying a lot, because it took a few seconds (minute or so) to clear the air. I may need to add another fan to move the air through faster. The filter didn’t do much to keep dust out, because I still had scotchbrite particles all over the place.
