A lot of prep and deburring here, but little progress to show for it. After looking at some pictures and other build sites I decided to round the corners a little more on the strut angles. Also completed the canopy flanges (except for the nut plates)...now just waiting for the paint to harden. I decided to paint the inside of the instrumentation area thinking that it may see a little more abuse then the other internal areas of the plane as I install the brains. The last thing to note here is the oil can bracket is complete except to rivet in place. Oil tank bracket was painted to match antenna shelf (high temp spray paint from Auto Zone, color: cast iron). I’m still tempted to powder coat these parts, but decided to save my money.
