Brief Description: Prep for upper firewall attachment (29A-03)
Per the directions on 29-02, I dimpled the lower flange, but I noticed that there were 2 holes that were dimpled on the shelf, but called out in the figure. Also the next page called out to use 8 flush rivets, but only six holes were called out to be dimpled. So I went ahead and dimpled the other 2 holes (8 total) on the lower flange. My order came in from sky geek with the fuel tank sealant and a mini plunger, which didn't fit my caulk gun. After a little thought and a look around the tool box, I found a basketball pump that would fit nicely in between. Now I just need to mix 10:1 the two compounds...and of course my digital scale doesn't measure in small enough increments...so you know what that means...another internet purchase. I justified it by saying it will work in the kitchen as well....honey, this is for you...she didn't fall for it. Next step is to attach the upper firewall.
Make sure to dimple all the holes on the lower flange that are dimpled on the fire wall shelf
