Step 4: Once everything is lined up (you can even see my original marks are slightly off (see photo), but it doesn't matter at this point because we are match drilling the two side holes using the canopy rib as the template.
I used the AN4 bolt to keep the angle lined up and held it up against the canopy rib as I matched drilled to two #40 side holes. I drilled enough to get it started then removed the angle and finished drilling the holes into a 2x4.
The end product is a perfectly matched strut attach angle.
(it didn't really take 4 days to complete, but this was the easiest way to explain given the limited pictures per log entry)

Once started, I pulled it out and finished with the hand drill
