Brief Description:  Long fuel line- round 2 (28-04)

After a week away on Spring Break, and the additional tubing arrival, I’m ready to get back into the build. I also stopped by a friend’s house to see their progress on a RV-14 in Tallahassee, FL. They are early in the build, but have a flying RV-6 and I got more anxious to complete my RV-12.
So back to fuel lines. I shortened the distance before the first s-bend to give me a little more margin to the bulkhead. I decided to keep the 45 deg angle that the plans had and I kept the same offset ins the s-bend. I then slide it all the way in attached the one end to the fuel pump and made my measurement for the end cut and flare. I pulled it back in order to get in and make the cut, slide on the nut & sleeve, and then made the flare. I temporarily attached both ends (hand tight) and tried my best to manipulate the tube so that it laid flat on the bottom of the fuselage nylon strips and cleared all the holes. The 3/8” tube is harder to bend with your hands, but I got it to lay in the way I wanted. It should be more secure once I get the nylon strips on top to hold it down. This worked out much better this time.
