Well it took some time to find the thread sealant I wanted. There are a lot of automotive shops that sell the Permatex high temp thread sealant, but it took me awhile to find just the high performance version. I'm not sure if it matters, but I didn't want to take a chance. Not that I have thread sealant (Permatex High Performance), I started the fuel shut-off valve assembly. It went fairly well...the only concern was to get the NPT fitting in the right orientation. It started to tighten up before I had it facing the right direction, but I managed to continue rotating it around until it was right. It's a nice tight fit...i hope not too tight. For the thread sealant I just applied a small amount on the threads (leaving the first few clean), then working it around into the threads. Just a small amount needed. I also installed the fuel pump. To install the shut-off valve I had to turn the fuselage on its side (with the help from Cyndi and Benjamin).
