I didn't get too much done this week due to some travels for my paying job. I had to drive to Lafayette, IN to visit the assembly plant, but I was thinking...if I could fly, I could get there in less than 1/2 the time....hmmm
Spent a little time just deburring all the edges for the straps and roll bar pieces. Not difficult, but I needed to wait for my order of 75 additional silver clecos from Cleveland Tools to get in. The original tool kit only came with about 50 and I figure I would need 100 to complete the assembly. I failed to read ahead, but I should have also ordered a 4-40 tap for the canopy latch. My guess is that is new because of the electronic switch to be added later. Once all the edges were deburred, I assembled and started final sizing the holes. This was much easier to drill through than the longerons.
Started putting the roll bar assembly together (needed more siver clecos)
Deburred and ready to start final sizing the holes
a lot of holes to final size, but much quicker than drilling longerons
