1 step forward and 2 steps back. I think I should make it my new goal to not have to do or par for everything twice. I wasn't paying attention and I reached for the wrong size bit to final size the screw holes around the landing light. I had forgotten that the #27 was already out on my workbench and reached for the #19 instead and drilled the holes. That was a sinking feeling once I realized that the holes were too big for the #6 screws. I could probably make them work, but there would be less metal under the screw head, so i opted to do it all over again with a new skin. I ordered a new lens as well, since it was matched drilled to the holes. Through all this I realized I didn't have a #6 dimple, so I ordered that from Cleveland. I'll need it for the landing light and the access door for the stall warning. Lesson Learned: make sure to put all drill bits back before reaching for something else...take it slow and read the directions carefully.
I'll jump back over to the left wing...I just got that replacement skin in the mail today.
Landing light cut-out turned out perfect, except...
