No problem with round head rivets on the hinge brackets. The directions rarely ever specify rivet head direction, so I made a judgement call and switched to the opposite side for 2 out of the 4 brackets. My thought was that it would look more symmetrical. So if you’re looking at the wing (outboard looking inboard) you see the rivet head...no matter if you’re on the left or right side of the plane. Not sure it matters, but it made sense to me at the time. If I remember, I'll take note to see what other builders did on their RV-12's next time I get to Oshkosh.
