Brief Description: Hinge bracket installation (09-07)
While I was waiting for the ribs to dry, i thought it would be easier to jump ahead in the manual and attach the hinge brackets...easy access without the ribs in place...right? It wasn't until I got the first bracket installed until I realized that I would be able to get in and attach the rib. It's always best to stick with the order defined in the manual. Anyway, skeleton is complete and now I'm attaching the skin. The scotch brite wheel does a nice job smoothing out the factory cuts. I wanted to keep with my 'no metal to metal contact', so I painted the overlap on the back side of the stabilator skin. Also drilled the mating half of the trip tab hinge. No issues, just a lot of holes.
Attached hinge brakets to the stabilator skeleton
Added torque seal to the hinge bracket bolts
